Almost everyone was bored looking at the old and weary Hyundai Verna. The car maker realized that and gave the car the much needed makeover. As a result, we have the hot and sizzling new car, the Hyundai Verna Transform. The cosmetic changes give the car a much enhanced look.
The front fascia is where the changes are most visible. The new car gets a new pair of headlamps that are more stylish than earlier. These headlights are not just a treat to the eyes, they offer better illumination too. The next prominent change can be found in the front bumper. It has a curvier look with creases that seem to unite at a point behind the license plate. The cascade mesh air dam and the round fog lamps encircled by black inserts simply add to Verna Transform's beauty.
Adding the final touch of change in front is the lustrous row of LED turn indicators on the wing mirrors. The taillights too flaunt an all-new design adding to the visual appeal. Then, there's chrome accentuation everywhere along with the dual tone redesigned bumper. However, the main attraction at the rear end is the trapezoidal chrome finished exhaust tip.
Coming to the interiors, the Verna Transform has a lot to offer. Convenience has been enhanced. The instrument cluster and display lighting dazzle in a lovely shade of blue. The instrument cluster by itself has been completely changed. The surround dials for the speedometer and tachometer look beautifully adorned in silver. So, that's the new Verna Transform for the Indian crowd. The engine is already superb and has been left that way. The drivetrains have been left untampered.
The Verna Transform offers a choice of 1.6 litre petrol and a 1.5 litre diesel motors. The petrol engine stirs up 101.7 bhp @ 5500 rpm and a maximum torque of 146 Nm 3000 rpm. If this power output is displayed by the Verna Transform 1.6 VTVT and 1.6 SX VTVT, the diesel motor churns out 105 bhp @ 4000 rpm and 236 Nm between 1900 and 2750 rpm. This diesel motor is available in three variants - 1.5 CRDi VGT, 1.5 SX CRDi VGT & 1.5 SX VGT (AT). Except for the 1.5 SX VGT (AT), which is mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox, all variants of the Hyundai Verna Transform are coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission.
The Verna had been raking up quite decent sales figures. Now, with the makeover, the car looks better and the car maker hopes for better sales figures. A new life has been injected into the four-year old sedan. To add to the sales numbers, Hyundai has also priced the new Verna Transform very aggressively.
